- There are four types of car seats available for children: Rear-facing, Forward-facing, Booster, and seat-belt. What type of seat depends on the child’s age, height and weight.
- Child restraints, or car seats, reduce the risk of injury by 71%-82% and reduce the risk of death by 28% in comparison to children in seat belts alone in accidents (AAA, 2012).
- In 2010, it was estimated that 303 children under the age of 5 were saved as a result of restraint use (NHTSA, 2010).

With Counterfeit Car Seat production on the rise, be aware of what to look out for to ensure you have a safe and legal car seat!
We encourage soon-to-be parents and grandparents to plan and get their car seat installed before the little one arrives! At this time, we have a limited number of certified car seat technicians on every shift, so we highly recommend scheduling an appointment or calling ahead to make sure someone is available to install the car seat. We also require an owner/operator’s manual present to install/inspect any car seat.
